Hello! My name is Isabella.

I've known my entire life that the career path I want to choose will be related to English or writing. The written word is incredibly versatile. It exists as both a tool and an art form. It transports people to different locations and different times. It is so powerful that book burnings have historically been one of the most paramount modes of silencing a people and stripping them of their agency. For these reasons, writing, and skillfully interpreting it, is a practice that is close to my heart.

Through writing, I seek to organize the ineffable process that is human thought. In editing, I seek to bridge the gap between the words on a page and their true meaning. I want to utilize these skills as I transition into a career.

My experience thus far has been within industries that are high-paced, demanding, and require thinking on your feet. Food service work, childhood education, event planning, and impulse marketing are all roles that require a special kind of resilience as well as the ability to stay calm in high-intensity situations. I plan on carrying these skills with me, using them to blossom into my career path. Though I am a recent college graduate, I have both the passion and the experience to thrive wherever I lead my life next.
